Kaleido Coffee - Premier Portland Coffee Shop for Matcha, Thai Tea & Cozy Workspaces

Absolutely amazing Thai Tea & the most hospitable owners. I went on a Monday morning and was the only one in there. It’s a relaxing and vibrant atmosphere. Somewhere I would come with friends or even to work for a few hours.

I’ve been to this place a few times now and honestly, the drinks I’ve had have been amazing. Their iced matcha latte is one of my favorites —it’s made with ceremonial-grade matcha and hand-whisked for every cup, so you can really taste the real good matcha flavor. There’s a tiny touch of condensed milk for balance, but it’s never too sweet or heavy, just smooth and perfectly done. The baristas always ask about sweetness levels (I usually go half or little sweet), and they make it exactly how I like it. My drinks never take long, even when it’s busy. The place itself is cozy and welcoming, and you can tell the people working here actually care about what they do. Definitely one of my go-to spots for matcha in Portland!

Ordered the Orange Drip coffee and it was amazing. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Spent 3 hours there getting some work done. Great study ambience: It was clean, and was playing light music. It did take a bit longer to get my drink, but this wasn’t a problem since I wasn’t in a rush. Seats are a bit limited, but it wasn’t too full when I was there. I will definitely be back to try their other drinks (:

The hot es yen was fantastic. Employees are friendly. I liked the color palette, it was upbeat and cheerful. The foam art on the es yen was well done. I’m a repeat visitor.

Got some drinks to go. The best matcha in the NW. Very green and strong matcha. They probably put about 2 scoops which is very generous compared to the other matcha around here. I enjoy that the inside plays light music so I can hangout and enjoy a conversation with a friend without shouting. Very clean and bright. The staff is wonderful. If you eat in, choose “for here” so you can use real dishes and save on disposable waste. They have cute coasters which is a nice touch.

I usually don’t post just drinks from cafés, but this place clearly labels all their vegan items and I really appreciated that, so I had to share it. I tried the Black Sesame Matcha Latte and it was delicious! I was curious about the taro drink, but it turns out it isn’t vegan. The staff were so kind and the whole place had such a friendly vibe.

Tried the strawberry matcha latte and the seasonal black sesame. Everything was delicious. Great atmosphere, good music, and Thai vibes. Highly recommend!

Seriously yummy coffee. Perfect crema in my cortado. Cute space with nice seating. Very limited food offerings. Mostly specialty drinks. Will be back!
